Behind The Scenes ...

Welcome! I’m Kate and I’m a recent graduate from the University of Maryland. I earned two degrees in 1) Multi-Platform Journalism, and 2) Criminology & Criminal Justice. I’ve also earned a minor in Creative Writing.

Throughout my high school career, I was consumed by photography and the written word. I participated in writing competitions, was featured in my hometown’s newspaper, and won an award in memory of a teacher’s legacy in writing and creativity.

My collegiate career allowed me to expand upon this fascination, as I took multiple courses in digital journalism, marketing, fiction workshops, and writing. During the winter of my sophomore year, I studied abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico and was able to further my cultural understanding of photography in the field.

I now work at the University of Connecticut in the field of marketing and content creation.
