Where My Life Begins

There is a place where my life begins

And after my adolescence truly ends,

And there the opportunities grow great,

And there I know I’ll discover my fate,

And there I may have a fresh, clean slate,

To breathe in the new and adapting wind.

Let me leave this place where I have no chance to experience chance

And my road is invaded by loops and sharp bends.

Past the lingering nights surrounded by despair

I shall walk with a walk that is slow and fair,

And watch where the road takes my feet as a pair

To the place where my life begins.

Yes I’ll walk with a walk that is slow and fair,

And I’ll go where the road takes my feet as a pair,

For the realists, they learn, and the realists, they care

In the place where my life begins.
